PowerStudyIQ was founded by Dalton Edge, PE — a licensed professional engineer whose career has centered on large-scale electrical studies for the federal government. It grew out of a recurring problem in that work: an arc flash study is current the day it's delivered, and the printed labels start drifting out of date the day anything in the system changes.

The company behind PowerStudyIQ is PowerSafe Engineering, LLC, an electrical engineering firm in Macon, Georgia. The two are deliberately complementary: PowerSafe performs power system studies; PowerStudyIQ hosts and maintains the results so the data on the plant floor never lags the engineering. You don't need to be a PowerSafe client to use PowerStudyIQ — the platform is study-firm-agnostic.
